Good morning.

After that three too many cups
Of home brewed coffee,
I envy your sleep
In the cool of the morning.

All my imagination anticipates
Is that first tram
Rattling down below
The roof where we lay.

There the stars reached down to me
As I looked up,
Speculating at their silence
And acceptance in unknowing.

Now perhaps it has reached that time of the night
Where I should make a run for it
To reach my bed
Before the sun rises.

I shall leave you here sleeping
To later wake
And wonder, for just a minute,
Where I have gone.
